DNA Sample of Three Rajouri Killed Youth Match with Families, further Investigation going on: Jammu Kashmir Police

On the 18th of July, a day after an encounter raged in Shopian’s Amshipora, three ‘alleged’ militants – Abrar Ahmed (25), Imtiaz Ahmed (21), Abrar Ahmed (17) were killed in an encountered and were buried silently in Baramulla, without them being identified.

The results of the DNA samples that were taken 5 weeks ago were delayed every week according to the family members of the killed labourers. Nearly after 6 weeks of the encounter, Indian Army released a statement on the 18th of September about the misconduct of power that exceeded the operation.

Vijay Kumar, IG – Jammu Kashmir Police, said in an official statement that the DNA samples of the three boys killed have matched with their families, while the police investigates the case, more details and updates will follow.
