Nearly ten people were injured in dog bite cases in district Kulgam of South Kashmir on Friday, out of whom one has been referred to Srinagar.
People including children were injured during dog biting incidents at Banimulla, Tarigam, Matalhama and Tekipora, Four persons were injured in chadder ban area of Kulgam.
All have been admitted in the district hospital for further treatment as earlier Alim Ahmed Bhat, 7 year old boy resident of Nanibug Kulgam died due to rabies of dog bite.
The People of Kulgam while speaking to The Kashmiriyat have appealed the district administration Kulgam for taking necessary arrangements to stop the menace of these animals for saving human beings.
Medical Superintendent of district hospital Kulgam told The Kashmiriyat that since the last three months 160 cases of dog bite were reported in the district which is a matter of concern.
In this regard, District development commissioner Kulgam, Dr Shamim Ahmad wani chaired a high level meeting with officer and said we will use all resources to stop these incidents.
So far 1 person has died while 885 injured in the first ten months of 2018.
