Dogra Community in Jammu Up in Arms Against the New Domicile Law

As the days pass by the New Domicile Policy is evoking criticism from every part and party of Jammu Kashmir, after Kashmiris, now the denunciation of the law has been started by the Dogras of Jammu.

Started by few individuals from the Dogra community, more people are looking concerned about the “future of their children.”

The campaign of Dogra community against domicile law has received massive support from several renowned personalities of Jammu including Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir President Manis Sahani, Senk Samaj Chief Convener Colonel SS Pathania, Retired IG Jammu Sudhir Dogra are special.

Shiv Sena State President Manis Sahani while talking to media said “with the implementation of New domicile policy,we fear that we will lose our Identity.”

He further said that there are permanent residents living in Jammu and Kashmir, they should be provided employment opportunities and then people who have come from outside the state should be considered.

Former IAS officer Khalid Hussain said that the people of Dogra community Jammu have been opposing the politicians of Kashmir till date but now the attitude of the people belonging to the Dogra community suddenly changed.

“Now the people belonging to the Dogra community of Jammu have realized that the implementation of the residency law will change the situation on the ground in Jammu and now they are up against the Domicile law whereas earlier they considered Article 370 as the personal law of Muslims,” he said.
