US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for corona virus (Covid-19) disease on Friday. Trump made an announcement on Twitter.
This comes after President Trump’s top aid – Hope Hickis, tested positive for the viral disease.
Hicks serves as Trump’s counserlor and is one of the closest aide. She has been travelling with the Trump for rallies ahead of presidential polls.
Hicks travelled with the president multiple times this week, including aboard Marine One, the presidential helicopter, to a rally in Minnesota Wednesday and aboard Air Force One to Tuesday night’s first presidential debate.
Several other White House staffers including Katie Miller, Vice President -Mike Pence’s press secretary, national security adviser – Robert O’Brien, and one of the president’s personal valets have also tested positive for Covid-19 in the past.
