Dozen Structures Damaged as Fire Breaks Out in Nehama, Kulgam

A fire broke out in Nehama locality in Kulgam in the afternoon of Tuesday damaging several residential houses and shops.

The blaze erupted at around 1 pm and quickly spread to adjacent shops and residential houses.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was put out after two hours.

At least a dozen structures had been damaged in the fire, he said.

“The losses are massive but we cannot put out a figure just now. It will be assessed later in the day,” the official said.

The fire broke out from the residential house of Abdul Satar Wani & spread to adjacent shops and residential houses.
