He alleged that the students also threw stones on the passengers who had gathered in a ground near the college.

They thrashed us saying “You are pakistani, go to Pakistan, Yahan Modi ka Raaj chalega”, he said.

The locals closed the gate disallowing the movement of hundreds of Kashmiris and later hurled stones towards the ground from outside.

“Later, the students who thrashed us without a reason, held a protest accusing us of raising anti national slogans, which is totally baseless,” the eyewitness told The Kashmiriyat.

Hundreds of Kashmiris are stranded as the Highway connecting Jammu with Srinagar has been blocked for the past six due to snowfall.

Fearing for their life, they asked for intervention of higher ups and politicians to rescue them from the ground.

A Local however said that stranded Kashmiri passengers threw stones on locals.

The Police including top officials has reached the spot, Paramilitary has been deployed around the spot.
