Drug Peddler Arrested in Kokernag Area

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday morning claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Zalangam area of Kokernag belt of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District.

Police officials told The Kashmiriyat that during a patrol at Zalangam Kokernag, the Police stopped a vehicle bearing the registration number JK13A 3234.

During the frisking of the said vehicle, the Jammu Kashmir Police seized two bags of poppy straw from the Santro car and took into detention the driver.

The Jammu Kashmir Police identified the drug peddler as Aqib  Ahmad Mantoo, a resident of Waghama Bijbehara .

The Police has lodged an FIR number 109/ 2018 in this regard and taken up further investigations.
