The Jammu Kashmir Police arrested a drug peddler in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Thursday.
in a press statement, the Police said that continuing its drive against drug menace in District Anantnag, today on a specific information Police Party from Police Station Kokernag along with Magistrate raided in residential House at Buchoo Kokernag and recovered 1kilo 600 gms of Charas From his possession.
They said that during Search one person namely Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Buchoo Kokernag was arrested along with 1 Kilo and 600 grams of Charas.
Accordingly Case FIR No. 37/2023 section 8/20 NDPS Act have been registered in Police Station Kokernag and investigation has been taken up.
Anantnag Police once again appeals the people of the District to come forward with the information regarding anti-social elements in their vicinity, the press release read.
