Police on Monday booked a notorious drug peddler under Public Safety Act (PSA) in the Poshkreedi Sirigufwara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A Police official told GNS that a drug peddler identified as Shabrooz Ahmad Wani son of Ab Rehman Wani of Poshkreedi Sirigufwara Anantnag has been booked under PSA.
He has been booked under FIR No. 26/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act in Police station Sirigufwara. Accused has been shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu, the officer added.
Meanwhile, Sirigufwara residents hailed the steps taken by police against menace of drug peddling in the area.(GNS)
