A tragic incident occurred at the Sindhi college in Amruthahalli, where a college student under the influence of alcohol fatally stabbed a security supervisor.
The accused, identified as Bhargav, attacked the security officer, Jaikishore Roy, with a knife.
Bhargav, a final-year BA student from Assam, was residing in a PG accommodation. The police reported that Jaikishore Roy, the security officer and discipline in-charge, had denied Bhargav entry to the college premises due to his drunk state.
This confrontation escalated, resulting in Bhargav returning with a knife and stabbing Jaikishore.
The police have arrested Bhargav and are conducting further investigations. Jaikishore, a North Indian native, had been employed at the college for a decade.
His family has criticized the college for inadequate security measures, which they believe contributed to his death.
