The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of planned power shutdowns in various regions of Jammu and Kashmir throughout October 2024.
These outages are intended to facilitate construction, maintenance, and upgrade projects aimed at improving the region’s electricity infrastructure.
The Chief Engineer of Distribution at KPDCL confirmed that the disruptions would impact several 33/11KV receiving stations. Below are the affected areas and schedules:
Pulwama, Tahab, Koil, Pinglena, Tenghar
Construction of the 33KV Pulwama 2nd Circuit under Phase II from 160 MVA GIS Lassipora

Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements during the power outage periods, Power department said.
“KPDCL apologises for the inconvenience caused and assures the public that these shutdowns are essential for improving the electricity supply infrastructure across the region,” read the press statement.
