An encounter has started between militants and Government forces in the Kapran area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon, a joint group of 19 RR, 164 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in the Kapran area launched a cordon and search operation.
The hiding militants opened fire on the troopers during the cordon, triggering an encounter. 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in the area
