An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in the Nai Basti, Kharpora area of Arwani in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) District.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
2-3 Local Militants from South Kashmir are believed to be trapped in a residential house of Mohammed Ismail in the Nai Basti, Local sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Meanwhile massive clashes have erupted in the area as hundreds of locals have poured onto the streets shouting pro independence slogans trying to march towards the gunfight site.
