An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Marhama area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A Police official said that on Wednesday 3 RR of the Indian Army, and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the Marhama area.
During the cordon, the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
