An encounter has broken out between militants and government forces in Chek e Samad area of DH Pora belt in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint launched cordon and search operation in the Chek e Samad area of Kulgam’s DH pora.
During the cordon, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said
Two militants are believed to be trapped.
As per the latest report, an intermittent exchange of gunfire is going on.
