An encounter has started between militants and Government forces in the Panipora forest of Zaloora area in Sopore of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Monday, a joint group of RR, and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about militant presence in the Zaloora area of Sopore launched a cordon and search operation.
The hiding militants opened fire on the troopers during the cordon, triggering an encounter. 2-3 militants are believed to be trapped in the area
