An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Kahli Forest area of Mandoora area in Tral of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday morning, 42 RR of Indian Army, 180 BN of CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the forest area of Kahli.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Mobile internet services are likely to be barred in this South Kashmir Awantipora Police District.
