An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in the Qazi Mohallah, Tiken area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District on Saturday morning.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 55RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and 183 CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
The holed up Militants opened fire upon the forces triggering an encounter.
2-3 Local Militants are believed to be trapped in a residential house in the Tiken area, Local sources told The Kashmiriyat.
Pertinently, Tiken is the native area of Jaish e Muhammad Commander, Waseem Ahmed.
