
An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Bemina area of Srinagar.
A Police official said that on Thursday night CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for hours together, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area.
Sources said that a massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
