An encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Brental area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District late night on Tuesday.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday night 42 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after receiving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly two to three hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
All the entry and exit points of the area have been sealed by the Forces.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in the area, Sources said that a massive exchange of fire is being heard at the site of the encounter.
Meanwhile in another Gunfight in Anantnag on Tuesday morning, two Militants were killed.
