An Encounter started between militants and Government forces at Chakoora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.
Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 55 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police were fired upon by Militants during a cordon and search operation in the area.
Immediately the troops cordoned off the area and the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants are trapped in a residential house in the area.
A heavy exchange of fire was going on when this report being filed.
