Ex Militant Tanveer Ahmad Sofi of Kakpora Pulwama who was injured in Militant attack on 15 Oct, Succumbed in SMHS hospital Srinagar on this morning.
Unknown gunmen on October 15 evening had shot at a former militant in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official had said that an ex-militant identified as Tanveer Ahmad Sofi (30), son of Ghulam Muhammad Sofi of Sofi Mohalla Kakapora was shot at near J&K Bank Kakapora.
He added that Tanveer received bullet injuries and was shifted to SMHS in Srinagar for treatment where his condition is said to be critical.
He added that he was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and later surrendered.
He was later engaged in Sericulture department, officials said.
