Republic Bharat- the Hindi Sister concern media outlet of Arnab Goswami led Republic TV has once again run a fake news regarding Kashmir, this time about the vandalization of the house of a Kashmiri Pandit, Ajay Pandita in South Kashmir’s Islamabad (anantnag) District.
Pandita who was recently killed by unknown gunmen in this South Kashmir district is a resident of Luk Bhawan area in Larkipora. The Kashmiriyat contacted the neighbours of Ajay Pandita, who mostly are Muslims and said that the news was false and baseless.
Republic Bharat ran a ticker in their news bulletin saying that his house had been vandalized. The Kashmiriyat confirmed that the incident is baseless and hoax.
“Nothing as such has happened here, Muslims have been taking care of the house from many years, and nobody has ever touched the house,” a local resident told The Kashmiriyat.
Meanwhile the Jammu Kashmir Police has taken cognizance of the fake news. The SSP of the district also posted the images on his twitter handle and said nothing had happened in there.
He also said that republic TV had run a fake news.
A Police official posted in the area confirmed to The Kashsmiriyat that a Police party visited the house and upon visiting the house, they found the house had never been attacked, in fact it was the Local Muslims who were taking care of the house.
