The family of Hilal Ahmed Dar, a PhD scholar who went missing in June appealed the Inspector General of Jammu Kashmir Police to help them trace their son.
Hilal went missing on June 13 during a trekking expedition to high altitude Naranag in Ganderbal district.
The family said that Dar’s absence has taken a heavy toll on the mental health of his family members.
They said, “Dar is a noble and disciplined person and has no affiliation with any anti-national organization and would never think of taking any wrong step.
“We appeal to the IGP to help us in tracing Hilal and ensure his safe return home”.
