
The former chief minister of Jammu Kashmir and president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Friday morning stepped down as the president of the Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) party.
Though the exact reason for the step is unknown, Farooq has said that his health doesn’t permit him to lead the party now.
The new party president is to be elected on December 5.
