Pro Freedom lawyer, Advocate Fayaz Ahmed Sodagar has been appointed as the President of the bar council of Islamabad (Anantnag) for the sixth time.
In the freshly concluded elections Advocate Fayaz Ahmad Sodagar has been elected as President of Bar Association while Muzamil Ahmad Rather has been elected as secretary.
Fayaz Sodagar defeated his rival candidate Abid Mushtaq Malik while as Muzammil Rather defeated Mubashir Ahmad Shah for the post of the Secretary.
The elections were conducted on Monday under the supervision of the Election Authority of Bar Association Islamabad (Anantnag) which later on announced the election results and also gave oath of office to the elected President and Secretary.
Senior Advocate Syed Mujeeb u Rehman on this occasion congratulated Advocate Fayaz Sodagar for being appointed as the president of the Bar Council.
