Fire breaks out in Anantnag’s Dangerpora area

A fire has engulfed a residential house in the Anantnag town of south Kashmir on Saturday evening.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that massive flames emerged from a residential house located just beside the Masjid Shareef in the congested Dangerpora area of Anantnag town in south Kashmir, which is spreading to the nearby structures.

They said that the fire tenders rushed to the spot to control the fire, however, the fire was not brought under control when this report was filed.

The exact damage and the cause of the fire could not be ascertained as of yet.

At least ten people were killed while 660 fire incidents have been reported across the Valley in the first three months of the ongoing year—2022.

The official data prepared by the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) department revealed that property worth Rs 3572.26 lakh have got damaged and also the belongings worth over Rs 31306. 38 lakh are involved in these incidents.
