As the global pandemic takes a downward troll in Kashmir, the first batch of Corona vaccine is set to reach Jammu Kashmir by today or tomorrow.
In an earlier communication, the officials had said that in the initial batch, the health workers will be vaccinated. “In the coming two days, we will get our 1st batch of Corona vaccine and vaccination will be started on 16th January across the country for which department has already done the groundwork and mock drills,” an official said.
Jammu Kashmir is expecting 2.5 lakh vaccines on Monday, however, the suspension of traffic along the Srinagar-Jammu highway may cause a slight delay.
An official was quoted as saying that more vaccines would arrive in coming, Pertinently, the first phase of the drive will cover 30 crore people in India.
