In a major attempt to provide relief to the disabled people of bordering town Uri District Administration by Sub Division Administration Uri and 12 Brigade of Indian Army jointly through 2 NGOs, BMVSS-Jaipur foots and Pritam Spiritual Foundation organised a mega limb fitment camp in North Kashmir’s Uri.
Sub division magistrate Uri Mr Harvindar Singh told The Kashmiriyat that “80 beneficiaries from the different areas of sub Division Uri get benefited. Necessary measurements & shapes obtained have been benefited. Through night, artificial limbs shall be manufactured and tomorrow beneficiaries would be able to walk on their artificial limbs”
They are providing artificial limbs for those without lower limbs, calipers & supporting shoes for polio patients, hearing aids, wheel chairs, sticks, etc.
The camp will run for three consecutive days from Wednesday to Friday at Officers club in Uri.
