Five Brick Kilns Charging ‘Overrates’ Sealed in Anantnag

Acting on the directions of the deputy commissioner (DC) of Anantnag, the administrative officials sealed five brick kilns in the South Kashmir district on Wednesday.

The officials conducting the raids told The Kashmiriyat that a team led by Wali Mohammed, Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, and tax Officer for Anantnag district on Wednesday sealed five brick kilns operating illegally or charging high rates in the Achabal and Lalan belt of the District.

Detailing the raids further, the officials said out of the twelve kilns raided on Wednesday, kilns operating under the names Taj in Lalan Gunoor area, 311 Brick Kiln in Lalan Gunoor, IBK Lalan Gunoor, 113 in Lalan Gunoor and Hilal Brick Kiln in Achabal were sealed.

Pertinently the DC of Anantnag had recently ordered the officials to ensure that bricks are sold at the government prescribed rates.
