
In Mayal Kralpora area of Kupwara district, in North Kashmir, five members of a family fainted after consumption of poisonous wild berries.
The neighbors rushed everyone to the sub-district hospital in Kralpora without delay. On examination they were further referred to District Hospital in Handwara.
The Kashmiriyat spoke to the attending doctor and he said that it seems that the fruits they consumed were poisonous in nature. All family members, including two children, are being treated.
The members have been identified as Abdul Ghaffar Khan (50), Javed Ahmed Khan (36), Masood Begum (35), Basit Majeed (12) and 10-year-old Hamid Majeed. Meanwhile, a police officer said that they are investigating the case.
