Five militants have been killed in a joint operation by the army, police, and CRPF in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday morning.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that after a night-long anti-militancy operation at Samno village in Kulgam, five militants have been killed.
Through the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained, but sources said that the slain were locals and associates of Lashkar e Taiba.
The official said that search operation is still going on.

On Thursday evening, following a specific inputs about the presence of militants in the Samno village, an exchange of firing started.
The operation remained suspended that night, but today, after the first time, firing from both sides resumed.
