At least five persons were hospitalised due to a suspected case of food poisoning at a hotel in Pahalgam tourist resort of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.
Hospital sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon five residents of Srinagar were hospitalized due to suspected food poisoning at a lodge in the Laripora area of Pahalgam.
After taking ill, they were rushed to nearby hospital in Pahalgam, from where the doctors referred them to Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag for further treatment.
The individuals have been identified as Tawheed Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed; Burhan, son of Bashir Ahmed; Irfath Ahmed, son of Mohammed Ramzan; Owais, son of Abdul Rashid; and Inam, son of Mohammed Shafi—all residents of Srinagar.
