Two days after Scholar turned Militant commander Manan Wahi was killed in an encounter in Kupwara, United Jihad Council, an amalgam of militant outfits has put ban on the entry of students in militant outfits.
General Secretary United Jihad Council Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman who also heads the militant outfit Tehreek-ul-Mujhadeen Saturday appealed students from Kashmir to stay away from armed struggle and concentrate on their studies.
He said: “Youth are our valuable asset and if they don’t concentrate on their studies then those pro-India elements will find it easy to stretch the period of our thralldom. I request militant commanders as well to desist from giving training to budding students,” he said in a statement.
