
The Food Safety Shopian organised awareness programmes under ‘Eat Right India’ initiative at Primary School Zampathri and High School Zampathri, Keller Shopian.
A large number of students and teachers attended the awareness programme, according to a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat.
On the occasion, awareness about Eat Right, Eat Healthy, Eat Safe and Fortified was given by Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, Shopian, Food Safety Officer Shopian, and Food Safety Officer Keller.
The participants were made aware about the benefits of taking vitamins through fortified food staples and ill effects of trans-fats and junk food.
The students were advised to take nutritious fresh and seasonal fruits to have a good health for healthy society to live in.
The Food Safety team also inspected the Mid-day meal kitchens and the meals prepared for the students.
