The residents of Moshwara Area in South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Wednesday accused the Government Forces of excesses in the area.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that forces barged into the area late night on Tuesday and forced their entry into the houses.
“They assaulted all the inmates including old, women and children,” a local Mansoor Ahmed from Moshwara Shopian told The Kashmiriyat.
Mansoor said that the forces also vandalised the property of the locals and ransacked window panes of many houses.
He said that at least six people were injured after troopers thrashed them. “They were taken to the hospital for treatment late night on Tuesday,” Mansoor added.
He identified some of the injured as Muhammad Ayoub, Gowhar Ahmed, Amir Shah and Mohammed Altaf all residents of Moshwara.

An Army official posted in Shopian told The Kashmiriyat calling the allegations as baseless said that none of their men are involved in the crime.
