Intense clashes have erupted in Sugan area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday morning.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that hundreds of people marching towards the funeral of slain Militant commander, Zeenat ul Islam hurled stones on Forces near Dragad area of Shopian.
The forces in retaliation fired in the air to disperse the protesters, in the action of the forces four persons sustained bullet injuries.
One of them has been identified as Mehraj Ahmed from Sugan area of Shopian.
The Forces later barged inside the funeral ground, where thousands of people had gathered for the funeral of Zeenat. “The people in chased them away, however they later resorted to aerial firing,” a local told The Kashmiriyat.
