Forces go Berserk in Kulgam Area, Vandalize Property Worth Lakhs

The Locals of Redwani area in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district  accused the Government Forces of vandalizing property in the area late night on Tuesday.

Locals told The Kashmiriyat that without any provocation the Army men stopped their vehicles at the Redwani area and barged inside at least three dozen homes, vandalizing everything that met their eye.

They said the forces also assaulted many youth, adding that the Forces went berserk and broke the window panes and doors of many houses after they entered many houses in the locality.

Forces allegedly smashed the glasses of more than 25 vehicles causing a damage worth lakhs of rupees, and also arrested more tha  10 youth from the Ghat locality of Redwani.

“They established a new camp in the area and now they have already started beating people,” a local from Redwani told The Kashmiriyat.

An Army official has denied the allegations.
