The Government Forces late night on Saturday shot dead two men claiming that they both were Militants killed during an exchange of gunfire in the Khudpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The Locals however have claimed that the second person killed in the firing of forces was a civilian
Locals speaking to The Kashmiriyat identified the man as Shahid Ahmad Mir Of Gagran Shopian, while the Militant has been identified as Irfan Ahmed alias Abdullah bhai from Bandzoo Pulwama.
The Forces claimed that Two Militants have been had been killed in an encounter that started between Militants and Government Forces in the Khudpora Memander area of Arwani in South Kashmir’s Shopian District on Saturday evening.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in this Shopian area, Sources told.
They said that the Militants opened fire on the forces triggering an encounter. (The Kashmiriyat)
