The Locals in Sugan area of Zainapora of South Kashmir’s Shopian District have accused the Government Forces of vandalism in the locality during nocturnal raids.
Locals from the area told The Kashmiriyat that forces barged into the house of an active Militant Sameer Ahmed Seh in the Herpora area of Sugan and thrashed his brother without any provocation.
They said that Army also thrashed a few neighbours of the Militant after laying a siege at the area around 9 pm on Wednesday night, they lifted the cordon at 7 am today.
“People normally think, house (shelter) is a safe space, but we Kashmiris are not safe even in our houses, Forces enter our houses and do whatever they want,” a Sugan resident told The Kashmiriyat.
They said that forces also abused men and women and before they left they had caused a huge damage to civilian property.
An Official refuted the allegations and said that the forces do not conduct such ‘uncivil’ behavior.
