Four militant associates have been arrested in connection with the “IED” blast in Shopian’s Sedow area in which one army soldier was killed and two others were injured, Police said.
The Jammu Kashmir Police Tuesday took to twitter quoting its Inspector General, Vijay Kumar who said, “Police cracked the recent militant attack case in which militants used “IED in a vehicle” at Sedaw Shopian. “All 4 (militant)/associates have been arrested. Congratulations to team Shopian.”
The Indian Army during a press release had on June 2 claimed that at approximately 0300 a.mm while an army party was moving from Sedow to lay cordon and search in general area Patitohalan, an explosion took place in the civil hired vehicle, being used by the team, resulting in injuries to three Indian Army soldiers.
“The blast is very likely to be from either a battery malfunctioning in the vehicle or IED. Details are being ascertained,” Army had said.
