Four Militants have been killed in an encounter that raged between Militants and Government forces in Lassipor area of South Kashmir’s pulwama District on Monday morning.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the RR of Indian Army, SOG of JK Police and CRPF laid down the Search Operation jointly.
After nearly four hours of search operations, contact was established with the Militants, who had been holed up in the area.
In the ensuing gunfight, four militants who are believed to be associates of Lashkar e Taiba have been killed.
Their dead bodies have been recovered and identities are being ascertained.
Mobile internet services have been snapped in the area.
