Free ‘state land’ within 3 days or face action: Authorities tell Uri, Boniyar residents

In pursuance of the JK admin’s order to clear the state land before January 31, officials in Baramulla have issued an ultimatum of three days to the local residents of Uri to vacate the land in three days.

In an official notice, of which a copy is available with The Kashmiriyat,  the officials in Uri and Boniyar areas of the north Kashmir’s Baramulla district asked the people to vacate the state land within three days or else action would be taken against them.

The Jammu Kashmir admin has asked the revenue officials and the deputy commissioners to ensure all the state land, Roshni land is freed of “encroachers” by January 31.

“If any person fails to remove the encroachment, the department would swung into action and people have to pay the charges of the same”, the official notification from revenue department reads.

The department has also warned of strict action under law against those people who fail to remove “illegal encroachments” over the land.
