French embassy requests that it’s residents leave Pakistan after violent protests

The French embassy in Pakistan on Thursday advised all French nationals and companies to temporarily leave the country, after violent anti-France protests paralyzed large parts of the country this week.

“Because of the genuine dangers to French interests in Pakistan, French nationals and French organizations are encouraged to briefly leave the country,” the consulate said in an email to French residents.

“The takeoffs will be completed by existing business carriers,” the consulate read.

Hostile to French slant has been stewing for quite a long time in Pakistan since the public authority of President Emmanuel Macron communicated support for a magazine’s entitlement to republish kid’s shows portraying Prophet Mohammed – considered ungodly by numerous Muslims.

On Wednesday, the Pakistani government moved to boycott a radical ideological group whose pioneer had required the removal of the French envoy.

Saad Rizvi, head of Tehreek-E-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), was kept hours subsequent to setting his expectations, carrying a large number of his allies to the roads in urban areas across Pakistan.
