
On 29-30 August, Indian army accused China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) soldiers of making ‘provocative military movements’ on the southern bank of Pangong Tso, across the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in an attempt to alter the status quo, the Indian army said in a statement on Monday.
Col Aman Anand, PRO, Indian Army, in a statement said Indian troops had taken measures to strengthen positions and prevent the PLA from trying to ‘unilaterally’ change the facts on the ground.
A Brigade Commander level Flag Meeting is in progress at Chushul to resolve the issues, according to the official statements by Col Anand.
