Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India’s military operations against Pakistan have only been paused, not concluded. He warned that the future of these actions depends entirely on Pakistan’s behavior.
PM Modi referred to Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the deadly Pahalgam terror attack on April 25, as a decisive move that demonstrated India’s resolve. He stated, “Operation Sindoor was not just a name. It was a statement to the world of India’s strength and determination.” The operation, which targeted terror camps and Pakistani military infrastructure, resulted in the death of more than 100 terrorists.
The Prime Minister also condemned the Pahalgam attack, describing it as the “most barbaric face of terrorism,” and vowed that the enemy had learned the consequences of attacking India.
The operation, which saw airstrikes on key military bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, raised tensions between the two nations. Despite an agreement to ceasefire on May 10, Pakistan violated the agreement shortly after its implementation.
Modi reiterated India’s readiness to respond to any further provocations, saying, “If Pakistan continues its actions, India will respond firmly and decisively.” He added that Operation Sindoor is a new normal in India’s approach to dealing with cross-border terrorism and warned that future attacks would meet a “strong and resolute” response.
PM Modi also lauded the performance of India’s defense systems and armed forces, particularly praising their coordination during the operation. He stressed that the military had delivered a message to Pakistan: India would no longer tolerate cross-border terrorism and would strike back when provoked.
