A shutdown is being observed in various villages of Ganderbal including Nuner village of the district against the killing of a local militant on Tuesday.
On Saturday, a local student-turned-militant Rahil Rashid Sheikh of Nuner village in Ganderbal district was killed during an encounter with government forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir.
Reports said that all the Shops and other business establishments in parts of Ganderbal remain closed on the third day. However, private vehicles were seen plying on the roads.
On Sunday and Monday, the district observed a complete shutdown to mourn the killing of a slain militant.
