
BJP MP from Delhi and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has approached the Delhi Police on Tuesday night alleging that he has received death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’.
According to news reports, the former cricketer requested the police for his security to beefed up after the “threat.”
The DCP Central Delhi, Shweta Chauhan said police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up outside Gautam Gambhir’s Rajendra Nagar residence.
In his complaint the former cricketer has alleged that he has received the death threats in the form of emails
Other details regarding the threats are yet to be ascertained.
Gautam Gambhir was elected as the Lok Sabha MP from east Delhi on a BJP ticket in 2019.
