An 18-year-old girl died while three more persons were injured in a road accident in the Bijbehara area of South Kashmir Anantnag district on Wednesday afternoon.
An official told the news agency Kashmir Scroll that an accident happened at Bijbehara in which one LMV swift collided with a chinar tree resulting in the death of one girl and injuries to three other persons.
She has been identified as Aayat Reshi (18) daughter of Bashir Ahmad resident of Nai Basti Anantnag.
The injured have been identified as Burhan Ahamd Wani resident of Frisal, Abrar Ahmad Wani, and Suman Hilal daughter of Hilal Ah Shah resident of Khanabal. The injured have been shifted to SDH Bijbehara for treatment. Police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.[KS]
