Government sets up panel to for expansion of Lal Ded hospital

The Government of Jammu Kashmir has constituted a Contract Committee under the Public Works (R&B) Department for awarding the contract related to the construction of an additional gynaecology block at Lal Ded Hospital, Srinagar.

“In terms of S.O 15 of 2020 dated 09.01.2020 of the Finance Department, sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of the Contract Committee, comprising the following, for awarding the contract for the work titled ‘Construction of Lal Ded Hospital (Additional Gynaecology Block), Srinagar,” reads an order.

The committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary of the Public Works (R&B) Department and will include senior officials from various engineering and finance departments. The members include the Director General Codes (Finance Department), Engineer-in-Chief (Public Works R&B), Chief Engineer (Public Works R&B Central Kashmir), Chief Engineer (Design, Inspections & Quality Control), Chief Engineer (Mechanical & Hospital Directorate Kashmir), Director (Planning, Development & Monitoring Department), and Director Finance (Public Works R&B).

The order further states that the committee’s mandate will cover all individual works above Rs 40 crore to be executed by the department. (JKNS)
